The Chips that were there did great! Congratulations Linda and Barbara! I saw possibly 10 club singlets...... where were the rest of our racers? The event was well staged, ideal weather and there is even a farmers market right there to enjoy. Note- improvement needed, stronger Chip participation.

Just wanted to share that 2 new members were also at the Valentine Run today - Carole Hood (4 miler) and daughter Kyley Jones age 13 did the 1.8 miler. We were also joined by Chip Dave Kupper. Everyone had a great time - good run!

I ran the Valentine run, but I opted to wear red rather than my Chips shirt...but I did don my Chips hat! I had a PR of 37:35.6, which is about 4 seconds faster than last year. Gordon Hall was there in addition those already mentioned.

I won my age division and was 44 sec faster than last year. Other chip women who were age group winners were Barbara Miller and Janice Kesterson. Special cheers to Janice who also picked up her plaque as being the overall female winner of the 2011 Buzz Oates series. Gordon Hall who just turned 80 was third in his division of 70+...its tough getting into a new age group only to find that you are lumped together with those youngsters! Arnie was second in his age group. Larry White is another chip who was out there.

John and I both did the Valentine Run. John came in as the third attorney overall (they had divisions for that!), coming in at 26:16. I ran a decent 5k, then slowed a bit, coming in at 29:20 (third in my age group). It was a nice race for both of us.
